Have you had a good week? Work was so busy for me this week, so most of my week in pictures is from the weekend! Yesterday my father-in-law came to stay with us for a couple of days. He’s the kind of guy who likes to have jobs to do when he comes to stay so we spent a lot of time gardening. Hot tip: working out in the morning and then weeding is not recommended!! My legs were so sore!
Onto my week in pictures:
I started to clean out one of our spare rooms (the one being used for drying clothes!) late last weekend and found my wedding dress and veil. So of course I put my veil on for fun! If only there were more occasions to wear my veil and wedding dress!!
On Thursday night I went to the War Memorial after hours to take a photo of Percy Bailey’s name projected on the facade of the Hall of Memory. I shared more of my story of visiting Percy’s grave earlier this week here.
On Friday we went to Masters to buy some new plants for our garden. So many plants!! It’s so hard to figure out what to plant. We already have a fairly established garden (thanks to the people who owned our house before us!) but there are a few bare patches so we bought some plants to fill in the gaps.
These are some of the plants we bought, as we placed them into the garden figuring out where to plant them. We bought a couple of ‘ground cover’ plants as well as some kangaroo paw (in the top right of the picture).
I finally got to put some plants in our terracotta pots on our front porch!! This photo is to prove that I actually planted these lemon and lime trees, I’m sure my parents don’t believe that I actually do garden at our house! Stu kept saying he couldn’t see my eyes while taking this photo. I definitely need a fringe trim!!
Our finished front porch! Finally! I’m so happy to have some plants in these pots, I can’t wait til these beautiful citruses (one lemon and one lime) start to grow. To see what it looked like last weekend check out my Friday Five from this week.
What did you get up to this week?
