It’s been a pretty quiet week on the home front for us! Work was pretty busy, but mostly the good kind of busy which was a nice change from all of September.
Last weekend we headed to the Canberra Outlet Centre (formerly DFO, I just can’t call this one by it’s acronym – it’s too bad!!) and I was excited to see the new William Sonoma/Pottery Barn/Pottery Barn Kids/West Elm outlet store has opened!! I could easily spend a lot of money in there and while it isn’t as good as having an actual Pottery Barn here, it’ll do for now.
I fell a bit behind on my FMSphotoaday so I got a bit cheeky (and cheaty) with this photo to catch up. This caught me up for days 17-22 (q, r, s, t, u, and v). Clever, no?
I got my hair done this week, which always is such an attractive look! I’m really happy with the colour of my hair now as it’s all brown on top with some blonde foils underneath so it looks a bit more natural. I’ve also got some subtle blonde bits in my fringe now so it matches the rest of my hair too. Because the foils are underneath they will be pretty low maintenance and I can just get my roots done with my brown dye for a little while as the blonde bits grow out.
Our roses are starting to bloom! I love all the roses in the garden and I have been waiting for them to bloom. We’ve got about 10 starting to bloom on this bush, with what looks like 10 more about to start blooming, as well as about a dozen pretty pink roses on our fence starting to come out too! They really make the garden look gorgeous and they flower so well I can have roses in the house almost constantly for the next couple of months!
Yesterday after breakfast Stu and I went and visited some nurseries in Pialligo. I saw so many gorgeous flowers, it was hard not to buy them all! Stu is super fussy about what we put in our garden so he is always saying no when I get excited by pretty flowers. To be fair, I know next to nothing about gardening so he is probably right to say that. I just love wandering around nurseries and looking at all the gorgeousness!
It was hot yesterday! Like 30 degrees! That is the hottest it has been here since probably February. I don’t do well in the heat. My maximum comfortable temperature is around 26 degrees. Once we got home from the nurseries we pretty much relaxed on the couch until it had cooled down enough to do anything. It was a bit of an energy sapping heat so it was nice to not have anywhere to be and just rest for a while. I think it’s going to be a hot summer.
That’s it for my week in pictures! Don’t forget you have until 5am AEDST tomorrow morning (Monday) to enter this giveaway to win some delicious chocolate.
What did you get you get up to this week?
