We had a Pink Ribbon morning tea at work on Monday. It was great fun and raised a fair bit of money for Pink Ribbon Day. One of my coworkers has had breast cancer, as has the mother of another colleague so it’s great that so many people at work get into supporting this cause. This was what I made my Pink Ombre Cake for and it was an absolute hit with everyone!
This week we had a website launch and the Govern0r-General came and launched it for us! (DiscoveringAnzacs.naa.gov.au if you want to check it out). I got to meet him, shake his hand and have a quick chat to him and Lady Cosgrove in the midst of the morning which was pretty cool!! It’s not every day you get to meet the Governor-General!
The roses have finally started blooming in our garden! I’m so happy, I love the roses. We have about 10 different rose bushes in our front yard, these pink ones are along the length of our fence and climb over the top, so the yard looks so beautiful when all the roses are out!
My ‘little’ brother (he’s 6ft and towers over me, but he will always be my ‘little bro’) is staying with us for the weekend. I suspect this is is largely so this could happen: playing PS4 together in the same room. It’s pretty nice that my husband and brother get along so well (especially because there is a 12 year age gap between them!) and it’s cool that they play online together.
As a side note, I am loving having the coffee table moved out of the centre of the living room, it feels so much roomier now!
It was ridiculously windy yesterday!! I was just glad the branch broke off into our yard and not onto my brothers car parked out the front! These Manchurian Pears are apparently notorious for dropping branches, they are a particularly bendy tree. We lost a branch last year on another tree onto our fence so this one was much better! I can’t get over how windy it was, it would not have been a fun day to be outside.
(Plus in this photo you can see how the roses line up along the fence! I can’t wait until they’re grown a but more and fill in those gaps.)
It’s been about 4 minutes since I shared a photo of the cutest freaking dog ever so I’m overdue really. And what is a week in pictures without this gorgeousness?! Seriously though, she is just so damn cute and is hilarious. She keeps us so entertained!
What have you been up to this week?
