We have a few Christmas traditions in our house, and most of them are fairly normal. We decorate our house for Christmas on the last weekend in November (I ignore anyone who says it’s bad luck to put them up before December. I’m an impatient and Christmas loving person!), drink champagne and listen to Michael Buble.
I bake gingerbread cookies (my favourite Christmas baked good!).
We buy a ham in early December and basically eat ham for all of December (it’s delicious! Especially cooked a little in a frypan served with fried eggs. Yum!)
I think our weirdest Christmas tradition is that we watch all the Star Wars movies. All 6. In order (chronological not release order).
I can’t remember how we started doing it, or even why it became a Christmas tradition but we do it every year and I love it!
I love that we have a Christmas tradition that is distinctly non-Christmassy. It’s kind of fun and it’s something that is a tradition with just me and my husband. And we will be able to expand our tradition with the new Star Wars movies coming out over the next couple of years.
Do you have any weird non-Christmassy Christmas traditions?
