Last weekend we went to Sydney for some extended family Christmas lunches which was so much fun. I got to see some of my cousins I haven’t seen in ages, as well as the most beautiful baby in the world, aka my cousin’s daughter. There is just something about a man holding a baby, isn’t there? So attractive!
This is my brother’s dog Koko. After years of my parents telling us we were never allowed to have an inside dog, they now have a dog that they let inside, let sit with them on the couch and she even sleeps inside! She always takes a little while to warm up to us whenever we visit but she quickly learnt Stu was good for a pat!
My FMS Gift Exchange gift arrived! It was a box full of handmade cards, which I absolutely love. I adore cute cards, and homemade ones are always the best. I am so not creative enough to do this myself so I am super impressed by anyone who can. My secret elf was the lovely Elizabeth from Eternally Inspired Mama and you can check out her awesome handiwork over on her blog.
I got a new haircut! I’ve been growing my hair since I got engaged almost 2 years ago so it would be a decent length for the wedding and I just kept growing it afterwards. I’ve been toying with chopping it all off for a little while and finally caved this week. My hair is super thick and it just gets a bit much to deal with sometimes, especially in summer, so I’ve had it chopped off into a bob, which I am absolutely loving. My hairdresser cut it into a pretty good wash and go style and because my wavy hair gets curlier the shorter it is, I’ve got some nice waves/curls happening at the moment. I’ve had a bob before, but never with a blunt fringe and I am loving it.
I picked some zucchinis from our veggie patch this week. They’re gigantic! We always end up growing lots of zucchinis and they are always so big. We definitely got our money’s worth from our seedlings from these four alone! There are lots more growing out there and even more flowers so we should be pretty set for zucchinis all summer.
Hope you’ve had a great week! This will be my last ‘week in pictures’ for this year as I’ll be taking a little break between Christmas and New Years, but my week in pictures will be back in the new year!
