The Amalfi Coast. If I had to sum it up in one sentence it would be: beautiful, but a pain in the ass to get to! We stayed in the town of Praiano, a town or two down from Positano on the Amalfi Coast. And it was gorgeous. The drive there, not so much….

I am not the biggest fan of summer. The heat, the flies, the dehydrating effects of the air conditioner. I just don’t love it. In an attempt to overcome my lukewarm feelings towards summer I am writing an ultimate list of things to do in summer which will get me excited for the next 3 months of obscene temperatures and constant sweating (see, it’s already working!!).
(I told my husband I was writing this post and he said “well that will be a short list. You hate summer and hate the beach.” So now I also have a point to prove!)…
It’s been a big week here at Number Five!! I got offered a job on Friday which I took and will start in the new year! I’m really excited and it will be an awesome opportunity (not to mention a great career move) but I love working for my current boss and I’m a bit sad to leave him. It’s at the same organisation so I’ll still see him around which is good. …
Continuing with the mini gift guide themed Friday Five from last week (Five beautiful gifts for Christmas), today I’m giving you Five books to give for Christmas. I love reading and books can sometime be seen as boring gifts but these five books are sure to be met with excitement!
I love looking at all the beautiful gift wrapping ideas on Pinterest so to save you having to trawl through Pinterest yourself to find some gift wrapping ideas I have done the hard work for you and pulled together 25 of my favourites in the one place to inspire you to beautify your Christmas presents this year.
Today’s easy crumbed chicken recipe isn’t actually mine so I can’t take any credit for it. This is my husband’s recipe and it is delicious! It is like a healthy and delicious KFC that even the fussiest eater will love.
It’s a super easy recipe and is so yummy. I love making extras so I can cut some up and have it on my salads for lunch the next day….
I had never even heard of Pesaro in Italy before we started researching this Europe trip. We were driving from Venice to Amalfi and we needed somewhere partway along to stay for a few nights to recuperate from what was, by this stage, about 5 weeks of non-stop travelling. We had originally planned to go to San Marino but the hotel we wanted to stay in was booked out, so I scoured the map of the east coast of Italy for an appropriate place to stay that was a roughly midway point between Venice and Amalfi.
We ended up going with Pesaro which was lovely, and such a welcome relief to have a break from the constant busyness that can come with a big trip.
(By the way this is part 14 in my series on my recent trip to Europe. You can catch up on the previous posts in this series here)
Fox in Flats‘ Darecember is back! I’m so happy about this. If you aren’t familiar with Darecember, it is a Style Dare run by the lovely Andrea at Fox in Flats to bring back some style to the silly season. The Fox in Flats Style Dares are always so much fun and give me great inspiration for new ways to wear my existing collection of clothes (very important if you’re trying to not buy any new clothes like I am!). I’ve also been introduced to some lovely friends and bloggers on Instagram by participating in the Style Dares.
Head over to Fox in Flats to check out all the details….
