I love muesli, it’s such a versatile breakfast and perfect for summer, so I thought that for today’s Friday Five I would share with you my five favourite ways to eat muesli.
The muesli I’ve been eating lately has been Sunsol 10+ Natural Muesli. I was lucky enough to be sent some delicious muesli by Sunsol to try out and I loved it! I’ve been enjoying the whole range of six different mueslis for the past month and I am so impressed.
Each different blend has more than 10 ingredients (hence the name!) designed to give you amazing taste and fantastic health benefits. There is a ‘Premium’ range ($5.29 each), Classic Fruit and Nut, Apple and Berries, and Orchard Fruit and Almond, and a ‘Premium Plus’ range ($5.99 each), Ancient Grains and Superfruits, Fruit Lovers, and Nut Lovers.
I think my favourite has been the Apple and Berries mix. They are definitely my favourite fruits to have in muesli as I’m not the biggest sultana fan! I like that all the blends have lots of healthy ingredients and are an easy way to get lots of nutrients for breakfast.
I’m also really loving the new packaging, it has a zip lock seal at the top of the bags meaning the muesli stays super fresh in the pantry. This is great for me as I’m so bad at remembering to put the clip seal things I buy on the bags of cereal that come in boxes.
It’s been nice to try a new brand of muesli and the Sunsol 10+ muesli has been a massive hit with both my husband and I.
On to my five ways to enjoy muesli!
1. With natural yoghurt and fresh (or frozen) berries
I love muesli combined with some delicious natural yoghurt and fruit. Serve it in a glass to feel fancy.
2. With ice cold milk
Cold milk on a warm summer morning is so refreshing and you don’t want anything too heavy in that kind of heat! Muesli is a great breakfast with cold milk as it’s filling, delicious and healthy without being heavy.
3. With warm milk
Great on a colder morning, muesli is really delicious slightly warm with some warm milk. It’s like porridge with more variety in the bowl!
4. With natural yoghurt and fruit puree
This is a cheeky treat I make for myself sometimes. I get the SPC fruit purees (plain apple or apple and berries) at the bottom of a glass, some natural yoghurt, and some muesli on top as a little parfait for a delicious dessert or yummy breakfast (this is the way pictured in the above image!).
5. Bircher style
Have some ‘overnight oats’ by soaking your muesli overnight in your choice of milk, yoghurt, or fruit juice, ready for a delicious breakfast in the morning.
