Last week I was having a very lighthearted discussion with some bloggy friends on the hot topic of Peanut Butter v. Vegemite (we’re tackling the big issues here!) when suddenly it took a bad turn. The lovely Lauren from The Thud brought Nutella into the discussion which prompted one of the most divisive conversations this little group has ever had! It was Lauren and Lauren against the world on the issue of the superiority and deliciousness of Nutella.
I mean, come on, a couple in France wanted to name their daughter Nutella such is it’s amazingness.
These were some of the comments Lauren and I had to contend with (with anonymity in tact to protect the guilty parties):
“Too chocolatey, too hazelnut, too sweet. What do you eat it on?”
“Nutella is balls.”
“Ate a whole jar once years ago, never touched it since!”
“Nutella never passes our doorstep.”
This conversation may have led me to purchase a jar of Nutella with my groceries. A spoon may or may not have been the vehicle of choice for my Nutella.
So, I want to know: Nutella, yes or no?
