It’s the 10th which means it’s time for my ’10 on 10′ where I join up with some other lovely bloggers to share our ’10 on 10′ – 10 pictures on the 10th that tells the story of a day in our life. It’s a big linky loop of love so make sure you check out the link to the next blog at the bottom of my post and make your way around the loop to check out the 10 on 10 from my bloggy friends.
This is such a fun way to keep a photographic record of different stages of our lives (especially for me now as I’m growing this little one!) and a little peek into the lives of some other bloggers, which deep down we all love!
So, onto my 10!
Starting to look really big! Casual is my go-to look for the weekend, which means jeans, knits and scarves at the moment. It’s getting cold in Canberra!
Our Saturday morning tradition is going for breakfast at one of our local cafes. We go to the same cafe and order the same thing every weekend. We love it, it’s our ‘date night’ (because I get too tired to do nights!) and all the staff know us there.
After breakfast I went for a little trip to Spotlight to pick up some fabric – so many choices! So much colour!!
I really wanted to make something for jellybean and I decided to make some blankets out of flannel – perfect for wrapping jellybean up or having tummy time (plus they’re just for the baby and babies don’t care about subpar sewing skills!).
Finding neutral fabric is super hard! So many ‘girl’ or ‘boy’ fabrics, very few nice fabrics that could do for either.
This is the finished product of one of the blankets! Super cute right?! I love that I could make them a bit bigger than most baby blankets.
These are the two I have finished so far. The top fabric is a lilac/blue colour in person, I figured it was gender neutral enough. I loved the pattern, either fish scales or clouds, depending on which way you look at it!
I may have also stopped into Kmart while I was out and picked up two pairs of shoes… I normally never buy clothes or shoes from Kmart but I am seriously in love with some stuff they have at the moment (plus it’s very budget friendly!). These shoes were just $20 each and are perfect for work. I love the zipper detail at the back.
I painted my nails for the first time in a very long time with this gorgeous deep red. It’s Essie’s ‘Dress to kilt’ and I think it’s the perfect winter red. It’s quite a deep pinky-red and is almost burgundy in certain light. Very nice.
No Chewie shot this month, but I just had to show you what she did on her bed! She likes to pick the apples that have fallen off the tree (and the tomatoes that have not fallen off the plant!!) and collect them on her bed. On this day she lined them up in a little line, along with her cricket ball. Very OCD for a dog!
I love the rose bush at the front of our verandah. These huge red cabbage roses are gorgeous and grow with 6, 7, 8 roses to a branch. So lovely!
Please make sure you check out the next awesome blogger in our little 10 on 10 link up of love (totally not what it’s called but I’m going with it) – pop over to Paper Cranes and Daisy Chains to see the lovely Jenny’s 10 on 10.
